Kamaru (sometimes referred as rice field crickets since they are usually found on rice fields) is one of the many exotic and well-liked foods that Kapampangans are recognized for. They mainly feed themselves with rice grains and leaves. These thick-bodied insects with large beady eyes and shovel-like forelimbs are incomparably great when cooked.
